2011 MDC just around the corner ....

It suddenly dawned on me that the 2011 Mother's Day Classic is just over two weeks away ... can it really be May that soon?  Is it really a year since all the frenzied fundraising and frivolity for the 2010 MDC?  It was particularly good fun going in on the train and seeing a sea of pink at all the stations.  Congrats to all those busy fundraisers and happy training.  Not long to go now! :)

One month to go until the 2011 Mother's Day Classic!

Those weeks are rolling around quickly. Only a month to go until we will all be pounding the pavement either walking or running.  It's fantastic to see so many people involved in fundraising, blogging and training for the big event.  I've been ramping up my walking each week to ensure I'm fit and ready for the 8km walk.  Since I did the walk last year several more of my friends have been diagnosed with breast cancer and are currently undergoing treatment for this horrid disease.  I'll be thinking of them this year when I do the walk.  For those people actively fundraising, the next month is a great time to send regular updates and notes of thanks to your sponsors.  Good luck!
